With the BYD Premium HVS series, you get an advanced high-voltage battery storage system with all the advantages of the famous BYD batteries and many improvements besides.
Improvements
BYD have made improvements to their systems to make them even better, including reducing the weight, creating a smaller installation depth and a high power density. Thanks to the increased energy density, BYD was able to reduce the weight by around 39% compared to their previous series. The 10.2 kWh storage capacity weighs only 167 kg, which is distributed over 5 components. The overall depth has also been reduced by around 8cm, which not only makes for a slimmer appearance, but takes up significantly less space.
Higher Performance
You also benefit from a higher performance thanks to the modular lithium iron phosphate storage system. Each individual battery now has a capacity of 2.56 kWh. As is typical for BYD, the charging and discharging performance remains high. Each battery can also deliver the rated capacity as power – i.e. 1C. Also new is an LED status indicator on the battery so the status can be read at a glance.
Structure of the HVS Storage System
A Battery-Box Premium HVS consists of 2 to 5 HVS battery modules connected in series to achieve a capacity of 5.1 to 12.8 kWh. The direct parallel connection of up to 3 identical Battery-Box Premium HVS systems allows for a maximum capacity of 38.4 kWh. The system can be expanded later if needed by adding additional HVS modules or parallel HVS towers.
BYD LVS Storage
In addition to the high-voltage variant, BYD also has a low-voltage variant in its portfolio. Here you have the option of connecting up to 64 battery modules in parallel and have full flexibility thanks to compatibility with leading one and three-phase inverters. In addition, the LVS variant offers you powerful emergency/standby power and off-grid functionality.
